Artist statement

A practice built from attention, instinct and return

Lina Poluna is an oil painter based in Tbilisi. Her work examines emotional states that exist beneath visible stillness.

Working within dark, calm and slightly unsettling atmospheres, she explores psychological tension through animals, human figures and the nude body.

Lina began with academic drawing studies before working as a tattoo artist from 2019. That experience shaped her sensitivity to the body as both image and surface - a place where memory, vulnerability and transformation intersect.
